Summer holiday in Tux
Hiking and climbing - a vast ocean of mountains
The reward awaits you at the summit - a breathtaking view of hundreds of mountain peaks!
More than 350 kilometres of hiking trails await you in Tux and Finkenberg - and each with its own character: easy walking trails, high paths to romantic mountain lodges and steep alpine trails lead past crystal clear mountain lakes, over fragrant flowery meadows and through old mountain forests ... enjoy the pleasures of hiking!
Exploring the glacier
From July to September you can go on guided tours of the Hintertux glacier. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday an experienced guide from the ski school Tuxertal will take you on an exciting and adventurous journey to hights up to 3.250 metres above sea level. Find out some fascinating facts about the surrounding mountains and admire the marvellous views. Walk over ice that is thousands of years old, past mighty, turquoise chunks of ice and learn about the formation and structure of our glacier.
Discover the Ziller Valley on two wheels
Whether you are a beginner, a professional or an entire family: more than 800 km of well-kept cycle routes of all difficulty levels are available to you. You can choose from a relaxed cycle along the flat route next to the river or even conquer a mountain of more than 3.000 metres on your mountainbike!
